One of Copake’s most delightful annual events is the Annual Antique Bicycle Ride, which will be held this year on Friday April 20th.  Scheduled every year as part of the Copake Auction Bicycle Auction weekend, the ride attracts cyclists and collectors from across the country.    Cyclists appear on penny farthings and all sorts of antique and vintage cycles.  The public is invited to join in on the 10 mile ride which covers scenic and rolling terrain.

Cyclists will gather at 3:00 p.m. at the Auction House.    Those wishing to watch the ride should gather on Main Street or Church Street by 3:00 p.m..  Leaving the Auction, cyclists will ride down Main Street, past the clock and out Church Street to West Copake, before returning to Copake on Empire Road.

This is the 27th Annual Bicycle Auction for Copake Auction.  The actual auction will commence at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday April 21st.   The public is welcome at this amazing event.

The Copake Hamlet Revitalization Task Force, which has identified bicycling as an economic catalyst in Copake, helps to publicize the annual event.
