Short-Term Rentals Registration
Starting on May 1, 2024, Town of Copake STR owners or their designees are required to submit a Short-Term Rental Operating Permit and Registration Application.
At 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, representatives from Localgov will be at Town Hall to present information about the registration process and to answer your questions.
You must obtain an STR Operating Permit for each property you offer for Short-Term Rental. There will be a two-month grace period. Beginning on July 1, 2024, operating without a valid permit is a violation that may result in a fine.

COPAKE PARK SUMMER PROGRAM IS BACK!
The 2024 Park Season will run from July 8th – August 16th
COPAKE RESIDENTS ($100 per camper or $250 per family) Registration Runs from May 13th – June 24th
OUT OF TOWN RESIDENTS ($175 per camper or $350 per family)
*If space is available* Registration Runs from June 3rd – June 24th
Applications can be found on the Town’s website or our Facebook Page.
All applications must be turned in at the Town Hall beginning May 13, 2024.
TO SUCCESSFULLY ENROLL A CAMPER, YOU NEED THE FOLLOWING
- Application form filled out and signed
- Copy of Recent Physical (within the last 18 months from the start of the 2024 program)
- Payment made
- Application turned in to the Town Hall beginning May 13, 2024.

2024 Copake Clean Up Day
Saturday May 11, 2024- 8:00 a.m. to Noon
Strict adherence to the following rules is required.
1. Only Copake residents may participate. Proof of residency may be requested at the gate.
2. Regardless of vaccination status, social distancing is required.
3. Copake Board members will volunteer to help check residency, direct traffic and assist wherever needed.
4. Participants must follow directions of Copake Highway Department members and other Copake personnel assisting at the site. Only a limited number of vehicles will be allowed to enter the site at a time.
5. Participants must stay in their vehicles except when unloading their vehicles or moving refuse and recyclables. .
6. Participants must unload their own vehicles. Copake staff will not unload vehicles-except for residents with handicap tag. No Copake staff will reach into any vehicle.
7. Participants will be shown where to deposit refuse and recycling.
8. Participants must exit the site as soon as they have unloaded their items.
