The responsibilities of the Town Historian for the Town of Copake includes:

• keeping old records, pictures, documents of people and places in the town;
• working with people interested in the community’s past.

Howard also invites submissions of stories & photos reflecting Copake’s history Hard copy photos are scanned & returned to the owner. Digitized versions are stored with our growing collection of Copake images going back to the 1890s.

As of July 2022, Copake Town Hall will have a permanent display of more than 25 panels with historic photos & relevant text created by artist Nick Fritsch & Howard Blue.
