ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
                              

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS [ZBA] OF THE TOWN OF COPAKE, NEW YORK will be holding a public hearing on an application by Alex Merchant & Arthee Jahangir at 7980 State Route 22 in the Town of Copake, tax parcel 176.-1-34 who is seeking relief from Section 232-23(1) of the Town Code, for new construction, enlargement, exterior alteration of existing structures, increased parking, an increase in the floor area, lot area or lot coverage allocated to the special use, increased hours of operation, or other changed use of outdoor areas shall require a new or amended special use permit –including multiple decks, two hot tubs, outdoor grill kitchen, vegetable garden and fire pit.

Also seeking relief from 232-23(J) An amendment modification or revision to an approved special use permit sought by an applicant shall be subject to all statutory requirements applicable to a new application-June 2023 a SUP was issued for the use of two dwellings for more than 921 days in a calendar year. 

Said hearing will be held on Thursday, the 27th day of February 2025 at the Copake Town Hall at 230 Mountain View Road, Copake, at 7:00 PM. All interested persons shall be given the opportunity to speak at such hearing.
