  1.  Notice is hereby given that the Tentative Assessment roll for the Town of Copake is completed, and a copy thereof is available at the Town Clerk’s Office.  The Roll may be viewed online at or

Notice is hereby given that the Assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll for the Town of Copake by phone appointment only on the following days: May 11, 2021, 9am-1pm; May 15, 2021, 8am-12pm; May 18, 2021, 9am-1pm; May 20, 2021, 4pm-8pm. Please call 518-329-1234 ext. 4 to schedule a phone appointment with the Assessor if needed.
  3. Notice is hereby given that the Board of Assessment Review for the Town of Copake will meet to hear and examine all properly filed complaints in relation to assessments of Real Property on May 26, 2021, 4pm-8pm, via video conference, specifically Zoom. Property owners are not required to be present during Grievance. Anyone wishing to participate in or view the proceedings should visit the Copake website at after May 1st to find instructions and a Zoom link to the meeting.

If any property owner does not have internet access, they may telephone in to Grievance Day proceedings. Anyone needing assistance with Zoom should contact the assessor.

To facilitate the process and avoid long wait times, property owners are urged to call the assessor at 518-329-1234 ext. 4 prior to May 21st to request a time at which they should join the video conference.

Property owners choosing to grieve their 2021 tentative assessment should submit their grievance application (RP-524) and supporting documentation to the Assessor prior to May 21st either by mail: Town of Copake Assessor, 230 Mountain View Rd., Copake, NY, 12516, or by email: [email protected] or dropped at the Copake Town Hall lockbox.
