BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS
SPECIAL ELECTION
RESOLUTION 39

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Copake Fire District at a special meeting held on October 15, 2013, stating that the present vehicle is in need of extensive repair and is determined to be obsolete and it is necessary to acquire a new tanker/pumper vehicle for the use within the area protected by the Copake Fire District; and

WHEREAS the Board of the Fire Commisioners will sell or otherwise dispose of personal property consisting of a tanker and any monies realized from a sale of this vehicle will be placed in the Equipment Reserve Fund, and

WHEREAS it will be necessary to borrow an additional sum not to exceed $300,000.00 to be used toward the purchase of the aforementioned vehicle and that it will be necessary to issue bond anticipation notes and/or serial bond at the prevailing rate of interest to purchase said vehicle. Said authorization to issue bond anticipation notes and/or serial bonds or statutory installment bond being subject to a mandatory referendum to be conducted on the 26th day of November, 2013 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Copake Fire District’s firehouse located at 390 County Route 7A (Center Hill Road), Copake, New York 12516
